Ensure that the automatic gear lever is in the "Parking" position, press the brake pedal, and pull the handbrake button towards you. To deactivate it, simply press the same button while keeping the brake pedal pressed. Additionally, it will also deactivate by moving the gear lever to the "Drive" position and accelerating.
