How to replace the battery on a Peugeot 307? Here's how: open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front bonnet, disengaging the locking lever with your fingers, then secure it with the stay. Once the engine compartment is open, locate the battery to be replaced; start unscrewing the mounting bolts of the battery terminals using a socket spanner, disconnect the battery hold-down bracket (remove the ventilation kit). Remove the old battery and fit a new one, tightening the power terminals. Close the battery compartment and shut the bonnet.
