Now comes the difficult part, because inside the plastic base there are clips that are difficult to reach, perhaps only with a mirror, and using a special spatula. The lock must then be removed from the wheel arch, there is no other method, and once the YouTuber has the component in hand, we see that the seal is actually destroyed. Changing the seal is not difficult, just one that we can get at any hardware store. The difficult part now will be to reposition the lock in its place, and we will have to follow the path we took to remove it, but in reverse. Then we put the partition back in place. In the meantime, we will have dried the compartment well so we can put back the spare wheel and the floor panel.
