A problem with the centralized locking system on the Peugeot Boxer.

A common problem that occurs on the Peugeot Boxer (and thus also on the Fiat Ducato and Citroën Jumper) is that the central locking does not work on the rear or side doors, leaving a warning on the dashboard that says "rear doors open." The cause is almost always the microswitch of the locking sensor on the sliding or rear door, which becomes misaligned due to repeated closing impacts; in fact, the metal of the housing is thin and deforms, pushing the sensor inward. The sensor is located inside the door compartment; we can remove it by pressing the tabs with a flat screwdriver, then we realign the metal bracket by slightly bending the metal sheet around the sensor hole outward, which we need to bring forward by 2/3 mm. We reassemble the sensor, check that it is aligned with the contacts, and close the door. The warning should have disappeared and the problem resolved.
