How to replace the wishbone of the Peugeot 207

Today we will explain how to replace the wishbone of the Peugeot 207. To change the wishbones, you need to lift the front of the car and remove the front wheels to access the suspension system. We loosen the shock absorber support nut a few threads so that we can give some play to the shock absorber leg. To replace the wishbones, it is necessary to disconnect the driveshaft from the hub carrier; to loosen the hub nut, we need to prevent the disc from rotating, so we reinstall a nut on the wheel to avoid breaking the disc support bolt. We insert a thin flathead screwdriver into the gap between the two walls of the disc and, with a 30mm wrench, we unscrew the nut from the hub. We unscrew the nut from the wishbone ball joint using a 17mm socket wrench and a 16mm socket with an insert. To remove the wishbone from the hub carrier, we use a crowbar. With a T25 wrench, we unlock the steering lock nut. We remove the nut from the hub by lightly striking with a chisel at the end of the driveshaft to remove it. Using a 21mm socket wrench, we unscrew and remove the support bolts of the wishbone to take it off. We brush with a wire brush to remove any rust residue and lubricate the wishbone housing with oil so that it is easier to insert it. We mount the two support bolts and insert the wishbone. We tap the end of the driveshaft before inserting it and mount it in the hub carrier. We insert the ball joint, tightening the bolt using a torque wrench. We lock the steering nut and mount the front wheels.
