How to Replace the Steering Tie Rod End on the Peugeot 2008

Today we will see how to independently replace the steering tie rod end on the Peugeot 2008 model 1. Turn off the car and pull the handbrake, then pull the bonnet release lever to open it. Lift the front of the vehicle and remove the front wheels. Spray some penetrating oil to facilitate the removal of the tie rod end nut. Using a 15 mm spanner, unscrew the nut supporting the tie rod end and make a mark with a brush between the rod and the end to facilitate reassembly. Remove the end from the pin and the counter-nut of the rod. Position the new counter-nut against the thread of the rod and mount the end, paying attention to the mark. Reinsert the end into its pin and mount the nut provided with the new part; press on the end and tighten it with a socket wrench with a 15 mm insert. After securing the end, lock the counter-nut with a spanner. Conclude the operation by mounting the front wheels and lowering the vehicle.
