How to Remove the Alternator on a Peugeot 206

To remove the alternator from a Peugeot 206, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Locate the alternator in the engine bay and remove the auxiliary belt by loosening the tensioner. Then disconnect the electrical connector and the power cable connected to the alternator. Next, unscrew the mounting bolts that secure it to the engine bracket. Once the bolts are removed, gently move the alternator to free it from the bracket and pull it out of the engine bay. After removal, you can proceed with the replacement or repair of the component before reinstalling it by following the reverse procedure.
