How to Change the Coolant Temperature Sensor on a Peugeot 206

To replace the coolant temperature sensor on a Peugeot 206, it is advisable to work with the engine completely cold. After opening the bonnet, locate the sensor, which is generally screwed onto the thermostat housing or the engine head. If necessary, drain a small amount of coolant to limit any spillage during removal. Next, disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the sensor using an appropriately sized spanner. The new sensor is then installed, replacing any sealing gasket and tightening it to the specified torque. Finally, reconnect the electrical connector, restore the coolant level, and start the engine, checking for leaks and the correct operation of the temperature gauge.
