Model: Peugeot 206 MK 1 - Years 1998-2012
Part: Coolant temperature sensor
Operation: Replace the external temperature sensor of the Peugeot 206

How to remove the temperature sensor of a Peugeot 206? Let's see the disassembly of the sensor from inside the engine compartment. We lift the front hood of the car, we secure the same. We disassemble the soundproofing panel of the engine and identify where the sensor is placed. We disconnect the power supply terminal from above the temperature sensor, unscrew the nut and remove the same. We screw the new sensor and connect the electrical clamp. We mount the engine cover panel once we are done. We test the correct functioning of the sensor once the car engine is started.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
