Class Action by AltroConsumo Due to AdBlue Issues on Citroen and Peugeot

The AdBlue system present on Diesel cars involving Citroen and Peugeot (and others) has a series of faults, especially in the 2013/2018 production: faulty AdBlue sensor, crystallising AdBlue tank, blocking injectors and pump; SCR control unit giving errors; alarming messages on the dashboard indicating a blocked start between XX kilometres. The cost of repair is often between £1,000 and £3,000, all at the customer's expense, as the entire tank and associated components are replaced. AltroConsumo initiated a Class Action against Stellantis (formerly PSA Group) in 2022/2023 to obtain reimbursement for repair costs for those who experienced the fault out of warranty, claiming it is a design defect known to the manufacturer. The requirements to participate are: owning a Citroen/Peugeot/DS vehicle registered between 2013 and 2018 (for some models up to 2020), having incurred repair costs for the AdBlue system (invoice/receipt), having approached the manufacturer/dealer without obtaining coverage, but having paid out of pocket. Be registered on the AltroConsumo website dedicated to the action.
