Video tutorial

Let's see how to replace the rear light bulbs on a Peugeot 206. This is a simple operation: just be careful with the plastic clips that can become brittle over time. Open the boot and remove the plastic rivet that secures the side trim; pull the fabric trim towards the inside of the boot and unscrew the wing nut that secures the light to the bodywork.

Disconnect the electrical connector and pull the light towards you. At the back of the light assembly, there is a plastic "tool": use it to unscrew the nut holding the bulb holder. Then, remove it from the housing.

The bulbs are bayonet type, so push them down and turn counterclockwise. Insert the new bulb without touching the glass with your fingers, pressing it in clockwise; insert the bulb holder back into the light assembly, tighten the securing nut with its tool which you will then store in its housing, and reassemble the light back onto the bodywork.

Reconnect the electrical connector and reattach the side trim.
