Replacement of Front Brake Discs

Model: Peugeot 407 MK 1 - Years 2004-2012

Worn brake discs can compromise braking performance, so it's advisable to replace them. Remove the brake caliper using a ratchet spanner by unscrewing the two rear bolts. Dismantle the caliper bracket in the same manner after removing the brake pads. Using a crosshead screwdriver, unscrew the two retaining screws of the disc while holding it steady. Clean the bracket thoroughly from debris using a deoxidising spray and a wire brush. Clean the new discs before installation to remove the protective grease. Refit the disc, aligning the fixing holes. For securing the bracket and caliper, use new screws if possible; otherwise, clean and lubricate the old ones. Use a wire brush to remove most of the accumulated dirt. Reposition the piston to the start position and fit the new pads. Reattach the caliper and the wheel.
