If the gear knob on your Peugeot 207 is damaged and needs replacing, follow this step-by-step tutorial. First, lift the gaiter off the base and turn it upside down.

Cut the tie wrap located inside it at the base of the knob, then pull to detach it from the shaft. You will need to apply considerable force, but there is no need to worry about damaging the gearbox, as it is very robust.

Once removed, insert the new knob into the gaiter and secure it with a new tie wrap, then reinsert it onto the shaft and secure the base of the gaiter.
