Instructions for Bleeding the Fuel Filter

Model: Peugeot 206 MK 1 - Years 1998-2012
Part: Diesel fuel filter

Open the front bonnet and remove the plastic cover on the engine: the fuel filter is located at the front of the engine bay, just behind the radiator. At the base of the filter housing is the bleed screw: position a funnel or tube to direct the fuel into a container and unscrew the bleed screw; to facilitate this operation, disconnect the inlet and outlet pipes at the top of the filter so that all the fuel can drain out. Once bleeding is complete, re-screw the cap and reconnect the pipes; turn on the ignition two or three times before starting the engine to refill the filter.
