There is an indirect method to check the efficiency of the injectors by checking the amount of diesel fuel in recovery: if the injectors are functioning and above all perfectly balanced, the amount of diesel fuel recovered by each injector must be the same; then disconnect the return pipes between the injectors and apply pieces of pipe of suitable diameter to be inserted in suitable containers (plastic cups are also good); then plug the delivery pipe and start the engine for a few minutes; we reiterate that the efficiency and correct balancing of the injectors will be confirmed by the same quantity of diesel fuel present in each cup.
