Indirect Check of Injector Efficiency

There is an indirect method to check the efficiency of the injectors by monitoring the amount of diesel recovered: if the injectors are functioning and perfectly balanced, the amount of diesel recovered from each injector should be the same. Disconnect the return hoses between the injectors and attach appropriate diameter tubes into suitable containers (plastic cups will also work). Block the supply hoses and start the engine for a few minutes. Remember, the efficiency and correct balance of the injectors will be confirmed by the same amount of diesel present in each cup.
