The speed sensor is located on the gearbox: in order to make the replacement it is advisable first of all to let the engine cool down since you will have to put your hands in a narrow space; then lift the car on suitable car stands to facilitate access under the floor and remove the splash guard cover; intercept the speed sensor on the gearbox, near the output of the axle shaft; then disconnect the socket by pressing on the metal bar, unscrew the sensor fixing pins and extract it from its seat; apply the gear to the new sensor and proceed in reverse for installation.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
