Changing the engine oil is not a difficult thing but it is important to do it correctly to avoid more or less serious problems to your car. first of all take a ride to bring the engine up to temperature, thus evenly distributing the oil within its circuit, then turn off the car and make sure it is in a perfect flat and raised area, in order to work below the engine compartment. In the video you can see what the bolt at the base of the engine block looks like which will allow the complete emptying of the oil tank, equipped with a basin, with a capacity of at least 7 liters, and position it under the bolt and unscrew it counterclockwise and drain for a few minutes by opening the filler cap and the oil dipstick, both on the top of the engine block. While waiting for all the oil to come out, replace the filter by unscrewing the old one with the appropriate wrench and paying attention to the further leakage of liquid, grease the new gasket present with oil and screw the new filter. Now also replace the gasket of the cap that you initially unscrewed and screw it back on. Fill the special tank of your car with new oil and, cyclically, check the level by means of the special dipstick, in case add it little by little until the minimum level indicated is reached, taking care not to exceed the maximum level. The procedure described is valid for all petrol and diesel engines, in the video a Peugeot 206 plus has been selected as an example.
