Changing the Oil Filter and Engine Oil in a Peugeot 206

Let's see how to proceed with the oil filter replacement in a Peugeot 206. Place the car on a lift, open the bonnet, and remove the oil level dipstick. Unscrew the filler cap and lift the car to work easily under the sump. Position a container to collect the used oil under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug. Once the oil has drained, lower the car and remove the oil filter using a 27mm socket with an extension, which is located at the base of the engine on the right. Remove the old filter and the O-ring. Clean the filter cover, install a new filter element and a new O-ring, then refit everything in place and tighten with a torque wrench to 25 Nm. Refit the drain plug and tighten it to 30 Nm. Pour 4.25 litres of new oil into the filler hole, check the level with the dipstick, and top up if necessary.
