How do you unlock the automatic gearbox of the Peugeot 206?

In order to unlock the automatic gearbox of the Peugeot 206, you need to completely remove the ashtray drawer located in the front part of the central tunnel: once this has been removed, you will be able to locate a device with a lever under the drawer that needs to be pulled. By pulling this lever, you will notice that the gear selector will no longer be locked in its initial position but can be moved along its entire path. Once the gearbox is unlocked, you can reposition the ashtray drawer in its place.
