How do you keep an eye on the tires of the Peugeot 208?

In this video, we are shown the various parameters to keep an eye on so that the tires of our Peugeot 208 are always efficient. However, these are general parameters that can be applied to all vehicles: A visual check on the tread and shoulder is necessary to see if there is any damage: very important is the wear condition. If it is more worn in the center, it means that the tire is overinflated; if it is more worn on the sides, it means that it is underinflated; if it is more worn on one side than the other, we need to check the balance. We must also check the tread depth, through the triangles on the shoulder and the bars inside called "wear indicators," which must have a minimum thickness of 1.6 mm. Even if we drive few kilometers, a tire should not be kept for more than 4/5 years, because over time it tends to harden and lose its characteristics, or even crack and could even burst. The marking must correspond to one of those listed in the registration booklet. For example, let's analyze 195/55 R16 91H: 195 is the width of the tread in mm; 55 is the height of the shoulder as a percentage of the width of the tread; R stands for "radial," 16 is the diameter of the circle expressed in inches; 91 is the load weight index, while the letter H is a speed index. They are tables, also available online, that have no reference, they are only to be consulted. The manufacturing date is contained in a small oval and consists of 4 digits: 0623 indicate the week and the year, so the sixth week of 2023. If there is no writing as in this case, the tire is summer XL means "reinforced" M+S indicates the all-season tire while the mountain with three peaks indicates the purely winter tire.
