How to Change the Headlight on the Dodge Ram 1500

To remove the headlight from a Dodge Ram 1500, start by opening the hood. At the center side of the headlight, there is a screw that you will remove with a flathead screwdriver to move the plastic. Then, find two bolts on the side of the headlight and remove them with a 10mm socket wrench. Remove another bolt under the headlight using various extensions; now, pry from the side of the turn signal to shift the headlight toward the center and release the clip. Now you can disconnect the various bulb connectors and remove the old headlight. Take the new headlight, connect the various connectors and accessories from the previous headlight, and place it back in its position, securing the clip on the side. Tighten the two central bolts of the headlight and the bolt under the headlight with a 10mm socket wrench; then, you can tighten the screw that holds the headlight plastic, and finally, test the new headlight.
