To replace the crankshaft position sensor on a RAM 1500, lift the vehicle to access the components in the lower engine compartment. You will find the crankshaft position sensor located just behind the exhaust manifold. Disconnect the connector attached to the sensor to remove it. Then, install the new replacement part, ensuring it is properly connected and secured in its housing at the bottom of the engine block.
