Replacement of Diesel Filter

Model: Renault Megane Megane 2 - Years 2002-2010
Part: Diesel fuel filter

The diesel filter is of the cartridge type and is located beneath the front right wheel arch (near the windscreen washer reservoir).
It is recommended to place the vehicle on a lift or raise it with a jack at the front right wheel. Once the vehicle is raised, it is advisable to also remove the wheel to facilitate the subsequent removal of the wheel arch liner. Once the liner is removed, you can see the diesel filter: it is essentially a cylindrical plastic container attached to a support. Disconnect the filter from the support by lifting it to slide the two plastic brackets out of their slots. Unscrew the fastening screw of the filter cover and extract the cartridge. Clean the filter container of any residues, insert the new cartridge, replace the cover gasket and the screw gasket (provided with the new cartridge). Reposition the cover and screw in the fastening screw. Reattach the filter to the support and refit the wheel arch liner and the wheel.
