In this video, we will see how to remove the starter motor of a Renault Scenic 1.5 dCi MK2 version; to do this operation, first of all, we need to remove the battery from its housing, in order to create the necessary space to reach the component of our interest. Naturally, then we will also have to remove the base where the battery rests, and the connector that connects it to the ECM system. In this way, we will have access to the starter motor. Subsequently, we need to remove a 10 mm bolt and an 8 mm bolt located near a flexible tube, then we just need to remove two 30 mm bolts - which are reached with some difficulty - and at that point the starter motor has been removed from its seat.
