How to Replace the Battery in a Renault Captur Key

Replacing the battery (model CR 2032) in the key (commonly known as the fob) of the Renault Captur (the procedure is the same for the Clio IV series) is very straightforward. Start by extracting the metal key, also known as the blade, by pressing the grey button located on the side of the fob. Using the blade, pry between the two halves of the fob at the point where the circular cap is located, beneath which the battery is found. Once the cap is removed, slide out the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring the polarity is correct. Finally, replace the cap and reinsert the blade.
