Replacement of the Gear Knob and Gaiter

Model: Renault Megane Megane III, Megane 3 - Years 2008-2015
Part: Shift knob

Grip the gear knob and pull it upwards with force to remove it (be careful of the spring).
Detach the gaiter frame and pull it out of its housing by simply tugging it.
Fold the gaiter and remove the retaining clip from the rubber bush to extract it; unclip the frame from the base of the gaiter and remove the frame support from inside the gaiter itself.
Attach the frame support to the base of the new gaiter, positioning the wider part at the front; then reattach the frame first at the front and then at the back; reapply the rubber bush and secure it with the corresponding clip, orienting it correctly.
Insert the gaiter onto the gear lever, clip the frame to the base of the centre console; insert the spring and the new knob, pressing down firmly to secure it.
