How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Renault Scenic

Learn how to replace the timing belt on a Renault Scenic. Lift the car on a column lift or jack and remove the undertray located beneath the vehicle, then remove the right wheel splash guard using a screwdriver. Remove the belt cover from the engine bay; use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the tensioner pulley securing bolt: remove the water pump. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, refit the splash guard securing bolts and the wheel arch.
