What could be the reason for the presence of oil in the coolant of a Renault Megane II?

In the video, we see the disgusting sludge formed by the oil mixing with the coolant in a Renault Megane II. This problem can be caused by a crack in the engine cylinder head, which can create a passage between the oil and coolant circuits; or by a faulty heat exchanger that cools the engine oil. If this component fails, the oil can end up in the coolant. In addition to the presence of oil in the coolant, we may also notice foam with emulsion in the engine oil, white smoke from the exhaust, loss of engine power, and overheating of the engine itself.
