In this video we can see how to repair the LCD screen of the instrument panel of a Renault Twingo II: we will need to remove the instrument panel from the dashboard of the car, for which we refer you to another one of our tutorials, then we lever on the plastic fasteners and remove the front cover, freeing the board located in the back, then we remove the display frame, then we free the printed circuit from the white plastic. Now with something that emits hot air, we unsolder the flat. We position a base under the board, and with a flat-tip tool, we carefully remove the graphite from the contacts on the board, avoiding damaging them, and then clean them with solvent. With a soldering iron we add some solder to the contacts and clean them well, then we position the flexible printed circuit at the contacts, soldering it to fix it to the board and then cleaning it with solvent. We can find this screen for example on E-Bay with the code 315449840473 at a price of 108.41 euros including shipping. We reposition the white plastic, remove the back film from the LCD and hook it to its base and position the metal frame. We position the cover, and we can reassemble the instrument panel on the dashboard.
