Let's see how to program the key (the "card") of a Renault Megane II: this is an operation that requires the intervention of a professional, as it uses a radio frequency encoding system that matches with the car's ECU, forming an anti-theft security system. To perform this programming, a high-end professional diagnostic scanner is required, capable of accessing the UCH ECU, and to authorize the programming of a new key, the technician must enter a unique 4-digit PIN code for our car, which is calculated by Renault software, so there is no do-it-yourself procedure, impossible to perform without the PIN and the appropriate tools. If all keys are lost, the UCH ECU will also need to be replaced.
