Changing the diesel filter on a Renault Scenic IV requires some attention. You can find the new Bosch filter on auto. Doc. It with EAN code 4047026368871 for £24.99 with £9.95 delivery. It's best if the car has a fairly empty tank. The filter is located under the bonnet, on the left side, near the battery behind a plastic cover. In some versions, the system is under high pressure: for safety, remove the cap from the diesel tank to relieve some pressure. Unscrew the nut or screws that hold the container closed where the cartridge is located, and clean the basin. Refit the new seal, lubricating it with clean diesel, and install the new filter, ensuring the flow direction is correct. Tighten well but do not overtighten, and ensure all hoses are connected. Now you need to bleed the air: some filters have a manual pump, but if not, start the car without starting the engine, allowing the starter to run for 5-10 seconds. Wait 30 seconds and repeat. This will operate the diesel pump and push new diesel into the filter. After bleeding, start the engine; if it doesn't start immediately, repeat the bleeding process.
