To replace the battery in the fourth generation Renault Mégane, open the bonnet and locate the battery in the engine bay, usually protected by a plastic cover that needs to be removed to access the terminals. Start by disconnecting the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal for safety.

Next, unscrew the support or bracket that secures the battery to the base and remove it. Then, place the new battery in the same housing, ensuring it is properly seated and stable. Secure it again with the support and reconnect the terminals starting with the positive and then the negative, checking that they are tight.
