Let’s see how to activate the rear brake pad replacement procedure on the Renault Megane IV: turn on the ignition, press the brake pedal, and deactivate the electric handbrake. Set to 1st gear with a manual gearbox or "D" with an automatic. Press brake + accelerator and at the same time push the handbrake button down twice. This will light up the warning light on the dashboard. Turn off the vehicle, replace the pads, and after completing the work, deactivate the mode: turn on the ignition, press brake + accelerator together, pull the handbrake lever up, wait for the brake pressure to stabilise, release the pedals, and turn off the ignition.
