How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter in a Renault Clio

To replace the engine oil in a Renault Clio, run the engine for a few minutes to slightly warm the oil and facilitate drainage. Then, turn off the vehicle and lift it securely. Place a container under the oil sump and unscrew the lower plug, allowing the old lubricant to drain completely. Once the draining is finished, re-screw the plug, ensuring a proper seal. If required, also replace the oil filter by applying a thin layer of new oil on the gasket of the replacement before fitting. Next, fill the engine with new oil through the upper filler cap, respecting the quantity indicated by the manufacturer. Conclude the procedure by starting the engine for a few seconds and checking both the oil level and for any leaks.
