How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter in a Renault Megane

To change the engine oil and filter in a Renault Megane 2, safely lift the vehicle and position a container under the oil sump. Unscrew the filler cap in the engine bay and then the drain bolt located under the sump, allowing the used oil to completely drain out. Once draining is complete, refit the drain plug with the appropriate washer. Locate the oil filter, unscrew it with the specific spanner, and remove it. Lubricate the seal of the new filter with a small amount of clean oil and screw it into place. Pour the new engine oil through the filler neck, check the level with the dipstick, and add oil if necessary. Start the engine for a few seconds and check for leaks from the filter or drain plug.
