How to Change Engine Oil on a Renault Megane

Change the engine oil and filter on a Renault Megane if you have covered a significant distance. Lift the car on a jack and remove the engine cover panel. Unscrew the oil sump bolt; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet and secure it. Using a strap wrench, unscrew the oil filter. Remove the worn oil filter from the engine compartment and fit a new one. Top up with new oil and close the bonnet. Start the vehicle and check for proper operation.
