How to Replace the Front Discs and Pads of the Renault Clio

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

Secure the car on axle stands, loosen the bolts, and remove the front wheel. Work on the brake caliper, release the springs or clips, unscrew the caliper bolts, and slide the caliper off the caliper bracket. If necessary, also remove the caliper bracket to access the disc. Remove the disc retaining screw, extract the worn disc, and clean the hub thoroughly to ensure the new part sits correctly. Position the new disc, refit the caliper bracket and caliper. Before fitting the new pads, retract the caliper piston evenly, then insert the pads respecting the orientation and reassemble the springs/clips. Refit the caliper, close everything in reverse order, and put the wheel back on. After completing the work, pump the brake pedal several times to restore the travel and check the brake fluid level; perform a short low-speed test to verify correct braking.
