How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter on a Renault Captur

To replace the engine oil and filter on a Renault Captur I, park the vehicle on a flat surface and wait for the engine to be slightly warm. Lift the car safely and place a container under the sump to collect the used oil. Open the bonnet, unscrew the filler cap, and then the drain plug located at the bottom of the engine, allowing the lubricant to drain completely. Once draining is complete, refit the drain plug, checking the condition of the seal. Then, remove the old oil filter and clean the contact surface. Install the new filter after applying a thin layer of oil to the sealing gasket. Pour the new oil through the top filler neck, adhering to the quantity specified for the installed engine. Check the level with the dipstick and add oil if necessary. Finally, start the engine for a few seconds, turn it off, and check for leaks before performing a final level check.
