How do you remove the cover panel of the tailgate? Let’s look at removing the protective panel of the tailgate and the lock on the Clio. Open the car's tailgate, unscrew the securing screws located in the plastic panel. Remove the plastic covering on the inside of the tailgate after unscrewing the screws (use a plastic or metal lever for assistance). Follow the same procedure for refitting the plastics and associated parts in reverse order. Remove the faulty lock and fit a new one: along with the lock, unscrew the screws of the opening handle.
