Renault Trafic - Video tutorial
Model: Renault Trafic
MK 2
- Years 2001-2014 The MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure = absolute pressure sensor) is used for the recovery gases of the exhaust gases that re-enter the intake duct. These recovery gases are partially burned. It often gets dirty and therefore sends wrong signals. Nearby there is also the Egr valve. It is a place that gets dirty easily, with residues that are more like coal. We have two options: either clean or change. Meanwhile, let's see where it is. It is located on the right side of the engine, in an easily accessible position, just below the radiator fluid reservoir, by means of a single screw. We see the tube that goes to connect to the EGR valve. Over there a collector and this part gets very dirty. The MAP sensor costs around 15 euros, and once replaced we can try to clean the other one and keep it good for the foreseeable future.
