Instructions for Replacing Power Steering Pump

Model: Renault Megane Megane 1 - Years 1995-2003

Before proceeding with the removal of the power steering pump, it is advisable to disconnect the battery; then move on to removing the tensioner of the auxiliary belt to take off the belt and free the pulley of the power steering pump; block the rotation of the pulley to unscrew the fixing bolts and remove it from the flange; then disconnect the pipes, collecting the oil, and unscrew the fixing bolts of the pump to take it out of its housing; then proceed in reverse to install the new pump by inserting it into its respective housing, securing it with the bolts, reconnecting the pipes, the flange, and then the belt. Finally, restore the oil level.
