To change the battery on your Renault Capture, open the bonnet. The battery is to the right of the engine. Unscrew the support plate. Use a 13mm spanner with a long extension. Remove the black negative pole clamp and then the red positive one. Remove the suction tube or you will not be able to slide the battery out of its housing. Now you can grab the handle and remove the battery. Scratch the inside of the clamps to remove the oxide. Take the new battery and remove the protective caps. Apply copper grease to the clamps. Insert the new battery. Put the clamps back in place starting with the red positive one, with a 10mm socket wrench, then the black negative one. Replace the battery plate and put the vacuum tube back in place. The job is done.
