Replacement of Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Renault Scenic Scenic 2, MK 2 - Years 2003-2009
Part: Shocks

First, ensure you have suitable clamps to compress the springs enough to remove the shock absorber. Lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the front wheel. Disconnect the cable guides and the link from the shock absorber. Extract the tie rod end from the hub support, unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts, and free it from the support. Lower the vehicle and access the engine bay. Remove the plastic cover grille located under the windscreen, also taking off the wiper arms and their operating mechanism. At this point, unscrew the nuts securing the shock absorber support and remove it from its seat. Compress the spring and detach the support from the shaft. Fit the bellows, spring, and support to the new shock absorber and proceed in reverse for installation back onto the vehicle.
