How to replace the fan resistor on a Smart Fortwo? Follow this guide for disassembly. Use a lever to remove the plastic under the dashboard, then unscrew the cover (where the resistor and ventilation fan are located) with a screwdriver. Disconnect the large connector of the resistor, then extract it from the cabin. Insert a new fan resistor (connect the power connector). Finally, reassemble the cover and tighten the screws. Check the correct installation of the previously mounted parts and test their proper functioning.
