Shock absorbers are a system designed to slow down the movements of a vehicle's suspension. When your car has many miles on the clock, they need to be replaced. You can easily find them at any car parts shop. The replacement process is quite complex but can be done independently. This guide shows you step by step how to do it. You need to have a compressor and a jack ready, then loosen all the bolts and remove the wheel. Next, open the bonnet and remove all the screws located above the shock absorber mount. Then, remove the two screws on the spindle and the one located on the stabiliser, which runs parallel to the shock absorber, allowing it to come off easily.
