How to Remove the Starter Motor from a Renault Clio

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Starter motor

The starter motor is located between the engine and the gearbox. Remove the long bolt at the bottom. Disconnect all connected connectors and the battery cable, then remove the bolt that goes through the gearbox casing. With a few shakes, try to remove the starter motor, using a light tap with a plastic hammer if necessary. Now check the integrity of the solenoid or the motor and perform tests after cleaning the connectors well. If it still does not work, you will need to replace it by following all the steps in reverse.
