Changing the starter motor on a Clio? Replace the starter motor if you are experiencing starting issues. Disconnect the power terminals of the starter motor using pliers or a screwdriver, depending on the pressure of the tabs. Unscrew the securing bolts of the starter motor with a socket spanner and remove it from the engine bay. Fit the new starter motor, connecting the power cables and the associated securing screws. Reconnect the electrical terminals to the battery. Start the vehicle and test its operation.
