How to Disable the Passenger Airbag on the Renault Megane

The front passenger airbag, like the rear and driver airbags, should never be deactivated except in exceptional cases such as transporting goods or a child seat. To disable the passenger airbag on the Renault Megane model 4, open the passenger door and set the toggle to OFF, then turn on the instrument cluster and wait for the message "passenger airbag disabled". To reactivate it, follow the same steps but move the toggle to ON. Remember to reactivate the safety device once everything has returned to normal.
