How does the EPB parking brake work in the Renault Scenic II?

This video serves to visually show the inside of the EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) unit as the handbrake is activated and deactivated. The video focuses on the cable and how it pulls or pushes the brake pads through two other wires on each side of the car; the white sensor on the left side is the force sensor that turns off the EPB motor when it reaches a specific force on the brake wires. In fact, by pressing the handbrake button, the electric motor activates the mechanism that tightens the rear brake pads against the discs, locking the wheels. To deactivate it, the electric motor reverses its direction.
