How to DIY Change the Engine Oil on a Roewe Rx8?

The entire procedure should take about 45 minutes and must be performed with the vehicle parked on a perfectly level surface or, better yet, on jack stands. Remove the oil cap (you can skip this step if, as shown in the video, you use a vacuum pump) and then also remove the drain plug from the oil pan. Position a suitable container, open the oil cap, and let the oil drain completely. At this point, you also need to replace the oil filter, as illustrated in the video, and you can naturally close the oil pan cap. Move to the hood, locate the engine oil filler cap, and pour in the new oil, checking the level approximately every two quarts. Once the correct level is reached, close the cap and clean up any spills as necessary.
